Christmas Mini Shoots FAQs
Thinking about booking a Christmas mini shoot? Here are the answers to your most common questions.
What if my kids are shy?
Shy kids are absolutely no problem! I’ve photographed hundreds of children, and shyness is completely normal. My approach is all about capturing natural, genuine moments—not forcing smiles or poses. I’ll give your little ones time to warm up, and we’ll chat and play together during the session. Often, the best photos come when kids are just being themselves, even if they’re a bit reserved at first. By the end of the 20 minutes, most children relax and forget the camera’s even there.
What if my kids play up?
Kids being kids is part of the charm! If they’re having an off day, we work with it. I’m used to giggles, tears, and everything in between. The beauty of a 20-minute session is that it’s short enough to keep energy levels manageable, and I focus on capturing the real, candid moments—the silly faces, the cuddles, the genuine laughter. Some of the most treasured photos come from those unplanned, slightly chaotic moments that make your family uniquely yours.
How soon do I get my photos?
You’ll receive your digital images within 7 working days of your shoot. That means you’ll have your Christmas photos in plenty of time to share with family, create cards, or order prints for the holidays. No long waits—just quick turnaround so you can enjoy them straight away.
Can we purchase more images?
Absolutely! Your Christmas mini shoot includes 3 high-resolution digital images, but if you’d like additional photos from your session, we can discuss that. Just let me know during or after your shoot, and we’ll work out what’s available. It’s a great way to get those extra special moments you don’t want to miss.
What if we want prints?
Prints are available for purchase! Once you receive your digital gallery, you can order prints in various sizes. Whether you want a single 6×4 for the mantelpiece or a larger canvas for the wall, I can help you get exactly what you need. Just ask me about print options when you book or after your shoot.
What should we do during the shoot?
Just be yourselves! Wear something you feel comfortable in (festive is lovely, but not essential), and think about the location—your home, a park, or somewhere meaningful to your family. During the session, I’ll guide you gently. We might chat, play, cuddle up together, or let the kids do their thing while I capture the magic. There’s no “right” way to do it. The best photos happen when everyone’s relaxed and having fun together. I’ll take care of the rest!
