Bath and bedtime photoshoot northampton
I have wanted to do a bath and bedtime photoshoot for a while now so I was thrilled when Mum Helen said her and 1 year old Theo were keen!
Due to it being January and the need for good natural light we cheated a little and did this after lunch and before nap time. This also meant we didn’t feel so rushed to get Theo into bed and asleep!
Theo loves his baths and seeing his reflection in the shiny plug and taps. In fact, seemed happy enough to spend all afternoon in their splashing around however, we then got some photos of him getting his PJs and sleeping bag on and reading a book with both Mum and Dad.
Throughout the process we kept to doing the whole bath and bedtime routine as they normally would. Theo then struggled to get to sleep with me there so I popped out the room for a while and once he was settled Helen called me back in to get some photos of those delicious sleepy face and cuddles with Mum.
A bath and bedtime photoshoot isn’t something you would probably think of doing, however, the end of each day is full of so many magical moments, that pass so quickly as your little one grows. It is often a time that is also only done by one parent meaning there is no one else there to take photos of it. When I look back to my own years of putting my 3 to bed I remember them so fondly and I wish I had more photos of it to look back on.
A Bath and bedtime photoshoot can be incorporated into a normal family shoot. For all the information on how my photoshoots work:
